Is the video consultation secure?

The full Carie™ platform is HIPAA compliant which means all patient information, medical records and consultations are private and secure.

How is Carie™ different from other Telehealth platforms?

Unlike other telehealth platforms where a patient can only connect with their primary physician or only to a cloud doctor, Carie™ gives patients both options. If the primary physician is not yet on Carie™ or is unavailable to consult with the patient right away, Carie™ members have the option to consult with a board-certified cloud doctor.

How does a video visit work? Do I have to download an app?

To virtually connect with a Carie™ doctor, simply open your internet browser on your electronic device and go to www.carie.com. After registering as a Carie member, go to your member dashboard, search for a physician and connect! If your doctor has provided you with a direct link you may go there at the time of your appointment.

In what locations does Carie offer services?

Carie is available across the U.S! However, you must consult with a provider who is licensed in the state in which you reside.

Is Carie available in other languages?

Currently, Carie is only available in English but the team is working diligently on expanding the language database to serve all Carie users.

What browsers are recommended for virtual consults on Carie?

For a smooth user-experience, we recommend using Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari (Safari for mobile only).

What electronic devices are compatible for virtual consults on Carie?

Any computer, tablet or mobile device with internet connection can connect to the Carie platform.

How do I cancel my account?

Please request via email to support@carie.com and we can cancel your account for you. Please refer to our Member Terms & Conditions regarding our 30-day cancellation policy.

What do I do if a doctor did not join the video consultation?

If for some reason you were able to connect with a doctor on the Carie™ platform, please email support@carie.com or call us at 888-747-3742 and we will be happy to help you.

How does Carie™ treat conditions that are normally treated in person?

70% of all doctor, urgent care, and ER visits are either unnecessary or could be handled safely and effectively over the phone.

How do I change my account information?

You can change your account information and password at any time by visiting your member dashboard, hovering over your name in the top right and clicking ‘My Account’ in the drop-down list.

Can I connect with any doctor in the US?

Carie will populate a list of physicians licensed to practice medicine in the state of which you reside.

Is my information and consultations kept private?

The Carie platform is HIPAA compliant so you can rest assured that your account information, medical information, and your virtual consults are held private.

Is training provided on how to use the Carie platform?

The Carie platform has been designed to provide an intuitive and smooth user experience. If you find yourself stuck on a step, you can refer to our member tutorial video found here.

Does Carie save medical notes for future visits?

Yes. Every Carie Physician that you connect with will have access to your Carie medical records and also add notes for future visits.

What if I don’t have insurance?

Your low consult fee will cover your virtual consultation. If a subsequent in-person appointment is needed or a prescription is submitted to your pharmacy, these expenses will depend on the patient’s insurance coverage or will become out-of-pocket expenses.

What if my doctor is not on Carie?

If they have not made the move to Carie’s free platform, you should invite them to register on www.healthcare.carie.com to start consulting with you virtually.

What if I already have a primary care physician?

Your physician may be on a Carie! If so, you should request their registration link in order to join their virtual practice. If they have not made the move to Carie’s free platform, you should invite them to register on www.healthcare.carie.com to start consulting with you virtually.

How do I cancel my account?

Does Carie store medical records for each patient?

Physicians store medical notes for each patient after every virtual consultation. This way, every physician that you consult with will be up to date on your medical history.

How do I set my schedule for when I am free to take virtual consultations?

Simply toggle the online/offline switch on the provider dashboard to make yourself available/unavailable for consultations.

What are the Carie Direct Programs?

The Carie Direct Programs give providers the option to offer Direct Primary Care through to patient who prefer VIP access to you. There are 3 Carie Direct Programs that providers can choose from, each designed to support the provider in adopting Telehealth while attracting new patients on the Carie platform.

How does a doctor become a Carie Provider?

Create your free account at https://healthcare.carie.com/register/provider. With the free trial, you can consult with your patients via a Virtual Treatment Room. In order to gain full functionality of the Carie™ platform, you can upgrade.

What doctors does Carie accept to become a Carie Physician?

Currently, Carie™ is accepting MDs and DOs onto the platform. We are looking to expand the provider network in the very near future.

Is Carie HIPAA compliant?

Yes, Carie is entirely HIPAA compliant.

How can I promote Carie telehealth to my patients?

In addition to the email workflow sent through the provider’s EHR, Carie will supply all Carie Registered Providers and Carie Direct Providers with a welcome kit including patient brochures, posters, digital promotion and more.

How do I get my patients to use Carie telehealth?

Carie has designed an email workflow that the doctor can upload into their EHR. This email will notify the patient to activate their Carie™ account to connect with you virtually for future visits. We also recommend that your staff offer Carie™ as a convenient solution when receiving calls for appointment scheduling.
